Ipsy April 2014 Sneak Peak #2

So, right after I posted my Ipsy April 2014 Sneak Peak #1 I was scrolling through Facebook and saw that Ipsy had released their sneak peak #2! I was so excited after seeing the first sneak peak…and after seeing #2, I have to say that I’m a little brought down.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for lip products, but seeing something like this:

is a little bit disheartening. If there’s anything good about this sneak peak, it’s the Starlooks Lip Pencil. They retail at $12 full size and are often versatile, matte colors! I’m not so excited about the Cailyn Tinted Lip Balms, but I’ve never tried them so I won’t knock it till I try it! I will also say that all of the Lipbalms I’ve tried have been on the cheaper side, and so I’m hoping for a good tinted lip balm (retail – $12 full size). The last product I actually really hope that I don’t get – the Mary Kay At Play Jelly Lip Gloss. Maybe it’s just something about the sound of jelly lip gloss that sounds so unappealing, but I guess we will have to wait and see!

Have you tried any of these products? What’s your experience with them?

Ipsy April 2014 Sneak Peak #1

Ipsy’s April sneak peaks have started! As long as this isn’t a really cruel joke from the Ipsy team…this month has potential to be quite impressive! Fortunately, last month’s bag had promising results, and hopefully this month will be just as great. Yesterday, Ipsy posted their first sneak peak for April 2014 and so, without further ado:

I’M SO EXCITED. I’d take anything Urban Decay any day, but the reviews for this are outstanding! The UD 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Black Velvet. I’m really hoping that everyone gets this product, and I think there’s a good chance that will happen since it’s the only thing in the preview. I’m always in the market for new eyeliner, and although this only comes in black, I’m excited to try it and prepared to fall dangerously in love. Of course, this product is probably a mini size, but who cares – the full size product retails at $20, which makes a mini around $10!

I’m not sure how I feel about the inferred theme. I’m just so in love with anything pink and girly that I hate to give it up, but the rockstar theme might be a pleasant change. Way to go Ipsy!
