Ipsy is going to make some people very happy this month, myself included! This month’s products are the perfect way to kick off the summer (see sneak peak #1, #2 #3#4 and #5 in previous posts) and the bag is just PERFECT. First of all, it’s at least looks to be canvas…not plastic. Finally a bag that won’t make everything smell like plastic! And second of all, look how cute!  Glam Rooms are released on Monday and I can’t wait to find out what I’ll be getting this month!

Don’t forget to check back early next week — I’ll be posting a giveaway! And Makeup MAYhem resumes tomorrow!

Ipsy just keeps getting better and better,

La Fresh Beauty Wipes in oil free makeup wipes and facial cleansing wipes are both amazing products, and are so soft on the skin! They are both made with aloe vera, cucumber, chamomile, marshmallow & tea plant extracts, and are oil free. I’m always up for makeup wipes, especially when they’re travel size so that I can take them with me.

The Avene Eau Thermale doesn’t seem to be sold on the Avene website anymore, but I found it available on amazon, and the reviews are so-so. I’m not too sure what it is, but it looks like some sort of hydrating spray for your face. Regardless, I’m interested!

The Derma e microdermabrasion scrub also looks pretty interesting, especially for skin that needs a new start! It seems to be your average scrub that buffs skin and diminishes fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars — that’s a plus!

I can’t tell what the last scrub is, but I’m hoping times a million that it’s a lip scrub and that if it is, I get it! I’ve been looking for any lip scrub for a really long time.

Although we got brushes last month, you can never have too many, and although I LOVE my Covergirl eyelash curler, this one looks super cute and it would be nice to have a spare!

Don’t forget to check out sneak peaks #1 here , #2 here, #3 here and #4 here. And stay on the lookout for the bag preview — I’m so excited and anxious to see what it will look like. I’m hoping super springy and cute!

Also, Makeup MAYhem will resume tomorrow, and I’ll be posting a giveaway soon so check back often!

Ipsy May 2014 Sneak Peak #4

After waiting a few extra hours, Ipsy sneak peak #4 is up! They usually go up around 11 a.m., but today we were on our toes until 3 p.m. when it was finally released! Was it worth the wait? Absolutely!

Yes! Radishes, tomatoes and carrots! Ha…just kidding.

This sneak peak actually features some great hair products — finally, Ipsy!

Pur-Lisse seems to be a French and Chinese product (the name comes from the French “pur,” or pure and “lisse” or smooth), and testifies to transforming the skin without compromise. I’ve never heard of anything like it before, so I’m interested to try it!

The Eva NYC Rock-a-Wave curl cream is a great product for anyone with wavy or curly hair! it’s a great product to renew your hair’s vitality by nourishing and strengthening the hair cuticle. Just from looking online, it results in a great, textured curl and wave!

Another Eva NYC product, mane tamer leave in cream I’ve seen in Urban Outfitters, and I’ve always wanted to try it! It’a a normal leave in cream that tames frizz and annoying fly-aways, but has added argan oil that nourishes, strengthens, revitalizes  and hydrates hair for a touchable, silky and soft feel. Come on Ipsy — I’m counting on you!

The Eva NYC therapy hair mask I’ve also seen, but at Ulta! The full size is $12.99, so I’d be happy to try it before I commit to a full size, but I’m always super eager to try hair masks! Again, it deeply conditions, repairs and strengthens hair, and is especially great on damaged hair. I’m hoping for softer, more manageable hair, so I’m excited for today’s sneak peaks!

If the last one is what I think it is, then it’s probably the Eva NYC Up all Night Volumizing Spray. My hair is already so big and poofy that I’m not dying for this one, but I can’t complain!

Don’t forget to check out Sneak Peak #1, #2 and #3! And watch for tomorrow’s final sneak peak for the month!

Ipsy May 2014 Sneak Peak #3

I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited for an Ipsy bag as I am for this month. If not for the products inside, then at least for the theme and the design — I can’t wait to see what the bag itself looks like! Sneak peaks resumed today after breaking for the weekend, and with much delight! There are SO many good products in today’s sneak peak that if I could just get everything in this photo and nothing else, I’d be happy!

I have just about every color in The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm collection, and they are my absolute g0-to lip product when I’m searching for just the perfect color. They are part of a new collection rich in moisture and full in color. They’re an all around great product that is an absolute essential!

I’ve never been upset by anything Too Faced, and I’m so excited to see the Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer as an option for this month! It sounds delicious, and I’m sure it looks just as yummy. It even smells like chocolate! Other items in this Sneak Peak include:

I really can’t believe all of the great products this month, and I hope to see more just like it! If you missed sneak peak #1  and sneak peak #2 here if you missed them!

Bring on the summer sun! Both products in sneak peak #2 are sunscreens — a reminder to everyone that the sun’s rays can be very harmful if not managed right.

The Jersey Shore Sun Sans Tan offers UVB and UVA protection and provides anti-aging techniques. There’s no fragrance to the product, which is 100% organic, so that’s a plus too! It looks like a full bottle is $40, so the sample is the perfect chance to test it out!

The Hang Ten Classic Sport sunscreen is also a natural product with UVA/UVB protection. It’s non-greasy, naturally scented and provides maximum water resistance (80 minutes) and full body coverage! The full size comes in a continuous spray bottle, which is awesome!

Ipsy May 2014 Sneak Peak #1

I can’t believe it’s May already! I’m so ready for the summer to officially begin, and thankfully I only have SIX more school days to endure. Phew!

This month’s Ipsy spoilers have been released, and I’m already super excited! I love the theme right from the beginning, and I hope it stays springy and colorful!

The items from today’s spoiler are both Pacifica’s Enlighten Eye Brightening Shadows, and although they aren’t specifically on the Pacifica website, I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed with their products (The colors in the photo here look pretty similar, if not exactly like these!) The website says that their shadows are mineral-based and infused with coconut water, vegan and cruelty free and can be applied as light or as heavy as you want, especially when you add water!

I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week’s sneak peaks are!

Ipsy April 2014 Sneak Peak: The bag

10170919_649357128444945_1647820710_n

I can’t believe I was skeptical about this month’s theme at first…look how cute this bag is! I think that the old-school theme is so cute, and although I am such a pink person, purple isn’t so bad! I’m so pleased with Ipsy and I couldn’t be more excited for my bag this month. Even though it’s only my third month with Ipsy, I’ve yet to be disappointed and I can’t wait to see what they have in store!

If you missed sneak peaks 1-5, you can fine #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 here!

April sneak peak #4 is here! (you can see sneak peaks #1, #2, and #3 here!) I’m officially just as excited for the theme as I am for this month’s products — look how cute!

The first thing I can identify from this pic is the St. Tropez Tanning Essentials — gradual tan and anti aging cream. Not bad, although I’m always weary of gradual tanners! I’ve never heard of this brand, but it’s website description says St. Tropez prolongs youthful skin and creates a luminous, sun-kissed glow! Next to that, the Cover fx mattifying primer with anti-acne treatment sounds pretty promising. Again, I haven’t heard of the company before, but primers are hard to go wrong with! Possibly the most interesting product in this batch is the benefit cosmetics lollitint in candy orchard. It’s honestly unlike anything I’ve ever seen before! As a smudge proof lip and cheek stain, this lollitint has a look similar to a nail polish, but doubles as a blush and a lipgloss! And the product that I’m hoping for – the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion skin exfoliant! I’m just all for skin exfoliants and my skin is in major need of a scrub!

You go, Ipsy, you go! Can’t wait for this month’s bag!

Ipsy April 2014 Sneak Peak #3

It’s here! I’ve been waiting in front of the computer literally all morning waiting for the third sneak peak for this month’s Ipsy bag. And after finally seeing it, I’m just as excited for this month’s products today as I was yesterday!

First of all, I must say that I’m warming up to the rocker theme.

The first product that caught my eye is the White Gold Shadow and highlight Mousse. I love highlighters and take full advantage of any that I can get my hands on. And this product acts as a highlighter and an eyeshadow base, so I’m excited about that! I’ve never tried the Elizabeth Mott pop! goes the shadow (here, it looks like the color Champagne) and I do have my favorite eye shadows, but the website features promising result – smooth blendability, intense, long lasting color and easy application. How much better can it get?! And of course, the Rainbow Honey naiplpoish in Midnight Fountain has everything I love: shimmer, color and glitter! So overall, it looks like we can’t go wrong with any of the products from this sneak peak!
